Discuss the general learning strategies that educators should utilise if in their class they had: • One student who has a mild intellectual disability • One student who is deaf and communicates using AUSLAN • One student who has very limited vision and uses assistive devices ? Discuss the teaching and learning approaches that should be used to support their full engagement and involvement ? (Each student: 500 words, minimum 3 authoritative references, 2006 onwards and use only reliable sources e.g. textbooks, journal articles etc). ? You need to clearly show how these students’ learning needs are being factored into a literacy lesson *Must show thorough discussion suggestive of comprehensive reading about the disability and reflective thought about a wide range of teaching approaches.
