tudents will develop a researchable question on a problem pertaining to their approved topic and construct a well-composed research essay on that topic. ALL ESSAYS MUST INCLUDE a complete thesis stating the student’s argument/position/stance on the problem related to their topic. Your well formatted essay MUST be 8 pages and in MLA format as outlined in your textbook and on the Purdue OWL. Please see me with questions or concerns on MLA BEFORE the assignment is due. Optional one on one conferences with me will be made available to all students in April. As this is a research essay, you will need to cite (IN TEXT and on a Works Cited page according to MLA format) ALL FIVE SOURCES used in the essay. The Works Cited page does NOT count in the page requirement for the essay. NO PAPERS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A WORKS CITED PAGE. Failure to appropriately cite source material in your writing is considered plagiarism and will result in an F on this assignment and possible additional disciplinary action. NO EXCEPTIONS!
