Silly or Ridiculous Office Politics (Discussion)
Many cases of political behavior in the workplace concern make-or-break causes of concern. Some employees behave politically in order to preserve their jobs or to obtain a livable salary. However, it is often the case that people behave politically over trivial issues.

For your first post, describe the silliest case of office politics you have ever encountered. Keep in mind that when this event happened it may not have made sense to you. But after reading up on organizational politics from the background materials, does this political incident make more sense to you? What concept from the background materials helps explain this incident the most?
