The purpose of this essay is to assess the merits and limits to R2P based on the thesis I am trying to go with below.

The Responsibility to Protect (R2P): Is R2P a weapon used by the West (meaning America and its allies) to enforce western imperialism or is it a doctrine of longevity meant to service human security? Use the 2011 War in Libya as a case study

Talk about he future of R2P, and how it can be seen more than just a ploy for western imperialism but as a great doctrine for human security and protection.
