Preparation of a Business Plan, Report and Presentation for an identified problem within a Third Sector Organisation

The three assignments comprise the progressive completion of a business plan based on the identification and solution of a diagnosed problem.

Assessment Item 1 Problem Identification and definition of objectives

Students are required to identify a suitable third sector organisation, liaise with the management and seek information regarding the management perceptions of problem areas.

Assessment Item 2 Research, analysis and identification of alternative solutions

• Based on the feedback received from the two assignment students are required to research the organisation and its environment and define the core problem as opposed to the stated problem and generate a range of possible solutions. .

Final Assessment – Development of a fully costed Report and Presentation of the implementation plan of the solution to the identified problem

Students are required to prepare a final business plan outlining the definition of the problem, supported by their research findings. The plan must contain a detailed and costed implementation plan for the proposed solution and the cost benefits of the solution.
