1. Recipe Testing – Compile a recipe and instructions that will create a wholesome version of the processed food you have chosen. You are encouraged to compile your recipe(s) and instructions from existing recipes, either from those used in Miele Lab, or from recipes researched from other sources or cookbooks. Any recipes that are not of your own creation must be cited in the reference section of your paper. Include in Exhibit 1, the full recipes from which you based your recipe on. You may create your own recipes from scratch, but you must still have at least two citations in your paper. In addition, realize that creating a recipe completely from scratch might be difficult, and will likely require much trial-and-error.

2. Ingredient Comparison – Discuss the similarities and differences between the processed product, and the version you created. You must research ALL the ingredients that are listed on the ingredient panel of your processed food. Exhibit 5 must be filled out for all ingredients found in your processed food.
