my topic is basically everything we learned about native peoples during this course (my professor wants us to write about what we learned from this course and then, include our thoughts somewhere in the paper): this is what she said >>>” The choice of thesis topic is yours, the criteria is that it relates to/addressed a topic/area that we covered in the course”<<<<.

Course name :ANIS 3006 Government Acts and Policies:
This course reviews the history of Canadian
government legislation and policies with a
focus on the impact of key legislation on
Anishinaabe Peoples as First Nation, Metis
and Inuit Peoples in Canada. Particular
attention will be given to sections of the
Royal Proclamation of 1763, to Canada’s
Constitution Act, to the Indian Act, and to
examination of critical Supreme Court cases
of concern to Anishinaabe rights. Students
will be encouraged to examine the impact
of these legislations and instruments on
self-governance. The course will introduce
the United Nations Declaration on the
Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) and
will discuss how international instruments
such as the UNDRIP support recognition
of the inherent rights of Anishinaabe as
Canada’s Indigenous Peoples.

Don’t include my thoughts that I’m about to write literally, but include it your own way. Here is my thought:
“I think that the government of Canada has taken the anishnabee rights away from them, even though, they have a little bit rights left but the government of Canada still trying hard to take those rights away from them such as the taxes, lands (reserves). And they were using the media(news) to give anishnaabe people a bad reputation, and have some contlol on anishnaabe people”. You can include more suffering they faced.
