The logical choice when given a problem to solve is to first find its cause. In human services, multicausality complicates this process because often several causes for a problem might be present.

The Oxford University Press online dictionary defines multicausal as “having or involving several causes” (2018). For this discussion, imagine yourself as a human service professional working with a client facing a problem. Select a problem for your fictional client and describe two to three possible causes for it. Then. use an outside scholarly peer reviewed sources to discuss an intervention you might consider addressing this problem.
