Paper , Order, or Assignment Requirements

As a course project, you will develop the syllabus for a master’s level counseling program course that focuses on brief psychotherapies. The course will include six modules. You will conduct research to gather ideas for the focus of your course and to support its content.

In preparation for the development of a course syllabus, you are expected to:

Review the brief psychotherapy and counseling literature.
Select some aspects/concepts of brief psychotherapies that relates to counseling, counselor education, counselor supervision, ethical issues, and/or multicultural considerations—and on which you might base your course.
Consult with your facilitator regarding your selection(s).
Complete all assignments related to this project spanning Module 2 through Module 8.
Your syllabus should include the following information:

Course title
Course description which includes the appropriateness and importance of the brief psychotherapies concept(s) that will be addressed in the course.
The objective(s) or learning outcomes for your course.
A list of concepts (topics and sub-topics) that will be featured in each of the six modules.
Assignments planned for each of the six modules.
A list of text resources which students will be required to read, indicating which chapters or segments are most relevant to which modules.
The location of those text resources.
The rationale used for selecting the resources.
