Your CSE paper is your Final Research Paper and must be on a real topic. You must provide a Reference page. You need 1250-1500 words, Times New Roman font 12 , not including your References. You must include one original chart or graph that is done on a computer-not by hand. You must adhere to CSE formatting guidelines. (See McMillan, websites sent out in announcement and Lecture Notes). I will be grading your format and topic and the structures we discussed in class, lectures and in the “How to Get an A” Rubric, and Writing Guidelines; including the following elements

1. Do not address your reader: do not use: you, yours, ours, our,us, etc…(-2.0 points per use)

2. In CSE you may use the proverbial “We” or “I.” Do not over-do it.

3. Make sure you follow the format for CSE and go through the checklist in the McMillian book.

4. Make sure your pronoun and verbs agree with the subject.

5. Correct your possessive nouns vs your plural nouns.

6. Make sure you do not use slang, jargon and make sure you use $5.00 words whenever you can.

7. ALL paragraphs must have at least 5 sentences. Nothing less. -5.0 per lack of proper paragraph construction.

8. You must use your scientific tone.
