Managing and Leading in Health Services :
In spite of their differing connotations, managing and leading represent complementary functions. A manager is someone who oversees and administers, ensuring that day-to-day tasks and activities occur without significant disruption. A leader is someone who innovates, inspires and develops new ideas. All of these different qualities must be present in a strong leader.

Regardless of where you are in the world, there are lessons you can learn from those who came before you. By examining the successes and failures of public health leaders of the past and present, you can arm yourself with leadership and managerial best practices for most situations you will encounter. you will go deeper into your research. As such, you will examine region-specific public health organisations and identify leadership and managerial best practices. Moreover, you will discuss the qualities of public health leaders in these regions.
To complete this Activity:

Create a discussion post in which you address the following:

?Summarise a public health care organisation linked to a specific global region.
?Describe some of the challenges facing public health leaders in your selected organisation.
?Evaluate the effectiveness of the leaders’ approach to addressing the challenges you identified.
?Explain what leadership and managerial best practices you identified in your selected region might be applicable to other region(s) of world.
?Support any claims you make.
