The sales assistant’s job is to receive phone call from customers, visits, to help customers understanding the outbound tourism professional issues for their itinerary, also designing and planning
trip for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Answering phone call and checking emails
Designing travel lines and routes
Offering clients advice and opinions on where to go and informing them about ideal local tourist attraction sites.
Organizing visits to attraction sites, making hotel bookings, linking clients with ideal restaurants, tour guides, shopping stores, and car rentals
Continuously updating the database according to clients feedback
Translation and other special requirements
Engaging foreign suppliers and actively co-operating with other sales representatives when faced with difficult circumstances to help our clients
Skills and Qualification
Fluent in Chinese and English

Ability to work nights and weekends when needed

1. I work as a sales assistant in a travel company in California. The company’s headquarters is located in Shanghai, while it also has branches in California, and London. The company’s main
objective is to offer competitive global tourism service and to ensure that every client has an enjoyable travel experience. In addition, the company provides consultation services and entire
package service including booking of flights, rooms in hotels, cars for rent, as well as planning of resort stays and events. Particularly my working unit organizes trips to US and China. My
responsibilities are to receive phone calls from customers and check their emails, to help clients get acquainted with any possible outbound during their itinerary, and design and plan travel lines
and routes for clients. Moreover, I offer clients advice on where to go, informing about ideal local tourist attractions and linking to the best restaurant and shopping stores in the neighborhood;
however, it is also my responsibility to organize visits to attractions sites and book every place. Finally, I am obliged to continually update the database according to customer’s feedbacks and
offer interpreter and translation service if needed.

Goal #1
A) Develop an understanding of the tourism industry.
B) Action #1: One of my responsibility is communication with clients, thus, with the help of communication I will learn what the modern tourism market is, what are the most popular destinations,
and what clients search for in their trips.
Action #2: I have a certain understanding of e-commerce platform, and I can observe their functioning in the tourism business.
C) If my supervisormanager admits my achievements and will offer me a position in a company that will mean that I understand the tourism industry on a good level.

A) Increase customer base
B) Action #1: Create an Intagram profile of the travel agency and to post the most interesting, cheapest, and hot offers with beautiful pictures.
Action #2: Suggest discount for returned customers.
C) When my branch of the company gets at least in 3% more orders, and then it will mean that I have accomplished my goal.
Goal #3
A) Gain maturity, professionalism, and confidence in own abilities.
B) Action #1: Link academic theory to practice.
Action #2: Demonstrate awareness of community and organizational issues help to solve them.
C) If I do not feel confused and lose temper in unexpected and urgent situations that will mean that I have achieved this goal.
