Order Description
1. Choose a concept from the list below. Use three sentences or fewer to define the concept.

2. Provide an example of your own behavior that illustrates this concept. Choose an interpersonal interaction in which YOUR message fits the concept, if possible. This example should be no more
than 250 words long. Skip as much background information as possible. You can write this out in script form if that helps you be more concise. You can highlight this section in MS Word to check
word length.

3. Using the definition you provided above, explain why your example fits the concept. Again, no more than three sentences.

4. Analyze your message in terms of your self-presentation, relational, and instrumental goals. In less than 250 words explain how your goals influenced what you said, OR, explain how what you said
helped or hindered your ability to achieve all goals in the interaction.
