1500 words, In this piece of assessment students are required to write a report about a site or event visit. Students are expected to undertake these visits independently and in their own time, though it is anticipated that many students will do so with other students. It is up to students to organize themselves. Students should:  Visit the Immigration Museum. Writing a field report will require three things: 1. Very careful note-taking of what you see take place at your chosen event/site visit (as an anthropologist, journalist, or social history researcher might do). 2. Some explanation of your thoughts on the overall sense of the experience of the event/site visit, which you should write down while you are there or when you return home (if you leave it until later you will likely forget important aspects of the event/site); and 3. Relevant scholarly research and background reading. Using your field notes, observations, the unit materials, and your own research and background reading, you will need to write a report about your chosen site or event visit. Reports should be divided into five sections using the following subheadings:  Introduction (150 words): Explain the site/event, and outline the main ideas that will be presented in your report.  Background (400 words): Using scholarly research and background reading, explain the site/event to write about in this report. References are required in this section.  My event/site visit (400 words): Using your field notes and observations, describe what you saw, and explain your thoughts on the experience. References may be required in this section.  Question (400 words): Using your scholarly research and background reading, as well as your field notes and observations, answer the relevant question below. References are required in this section:  How does the Immigration Museum depict the history of migration in Australia?  Conclusion (150 words): Conclude your report be summarising your key findings.
