Immigrant Entrepreneur Women and the Ethnic Food Business

Order Description
The primary goals of this course are to acquaint students with the history of immigration and its relevance for policy debates today, improve writing skills, and give students practice in data collection and primary source analysis. The final paper will require you to do your own primary source research on an immigrant group, case study, or relevant issue of your choice. I have already chosen a topic and written a proposal and brief outline, however I still need to scan primary documents regarding Grace Chu (the woman who the paper will focus on as a case study of female immigrant entrepreneurship). The professor is most concerned with how the paper will intervene in, add, or enrich the existing scholarly conversation on immigration history.
