i was asked to choose an example of screen media (Movie Black Narcissus 1947, and to offer a discussion of it in the light of the issues raised: Identity and difference, otherness, cinematic genres, but also story-telling genres more generally, etc. I should show why the theory I am using is relevant to the film I chose.
