Read chapter 4 and 5 in the wright and Jaffe (2014)text. Select atopic from this this course that will be the premise for your hypothetical advocacy plan. Complete steps 1 and 2 of the advocacy plan explained in in the Wright and Jaffe text.

Chapter 4/Step 1: Know and Identify your issue.

1.Select and define your problem.
2. Analyze your problem before deciding on any solution. See Box 4.2 in the Wright and Jaffe text and apply ONE of the methods of analysis (hub-and-spoke,etc)
3. Are your needs at the micro, mezzo, or macro level? Explain.
4. Analyze hypothetical stakeholders (clearly identify, prioritize, understand, and manage, as discussed in the text).
5. Apply the Three Levels of Framing in Box 4.9 in the text.

Chapter 5/Step 2-Analyze your issue:

1. Research for background and impact: This 3-step process includes the following three elements, but we will only be completing items 6a and 6b):

a. Develop your research question and possibly sub-questions.

b. Review the available information on your issue found through the internet.

c. We will not be completing this portion, but in a typical advocacy plan you would conduct original (primary) research as needed to fill in the gaps.

Step 2 Research:

Refer to items 6a and 6b. Locate 8-12 sources for your research and annotate them in APA format. Each annotation entry should be between 50-100 words.

Answer the following questions extracted from the text:
” What is the prevalence of the social problem? How many people are affected? Are certain groups more affected by this problem based on race/ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, geography, and other background factors? What is the history of the problem? What are some of the root causes of this problem? How has it changed overtime? What are possible solutions to address this problem?

This entire submission should be between 2,300 – 2,450 words and in proper APA format, with a cover page and reference page.
