Paper , Order, or Assignment Requirements

For this assignment, each student will write a 750-1000 word essay that answers one of the questions listed below. Your essay should include each of the writing components developed in the course’s writing workshops. Thus, it will need an appropriate introduction, a clear thesis statement that provides the reader with a roadmap for the rest of your essay, suitable topic sentences, body paragraphs that use specific examples(from the primary sources provided in Blackboard) as evidence that supports your thesis, and a conclusion that restates the essay’s main points. This paper is worth 200 points and it must be submitted by the end of class on Friday, April 21 (Rough Draft Due April 12).

Late papers must be submitted by email ([email protected]) within 24 hours after class. Late papers will be penalized 35 points. After 24 hours, no late papers will be accepted. Also, all late papers submitted by email must also be submitted as hard copies within a week. Moreover, they must include a print out of the email submission, as that will serve as the paper’s time/date stamp. If you do not have the e mail submission printed out, or if the hard copy is more than one week late, we will not accept your essay.

This paper must be computer-generated, double-spaced, with standard one-inch margins and 12 pt. font—Times New Roman. Please refer to the Essay Guidelines handout on Blackboard for more specific instructions regarding style, citations, and organization.

Lastly, avoid the temptation to borrow material from the internet. Plagiarized material is easy to detect and all suspected cases will be referred to the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution.
