  1. Explain how effective digital transformation requires the ‘nexus of forces’ combining social, mobile, big data and cloud. Give an example.
  2. Maturing organisations use digital technologies to transform the business. What are the cultural, talent and leadership requirements?  Given an example.
  3. Sophisticated IT systems are very important for H&M to maintain its strategic advantage over its competitors. Describe how H&M uses IT more effectively than its competitors.
  4. Besides IT, in which areas does H&M have strategic capabilities and what are they?
  5. What are H&M’s threshold and distinctive resources and capabilities (See Section 3.2.3 of Johnson et al)?
