Select a speech by a politician or other public figure that has cultural or historical significance. The web site American Rhetoric’s Top 100 Speeches provides some ideas. Speeches by current figures, such as Barack Obama’s ” The Audacity of Hope” from 2004 Democratic National Convention, can also serve as approprate topics. You may cite videos, audio recordings, and/ or written transcripts.
