1) Apply psychoanalytic theory to a critical analysis of the “Halloween” film (1978) directed by John Carpenter. You must show mastery of psychoanalytic theory through your critical analysis of
the film. 2) How does the film exemplify the gendered operations of spectatorship as analyzed in Laura Mulvey’s essay (attached with the order)? 3) The following 2 (of 5 required sources) must be
used in the paper: Robin Wood’s essay and Carol Clover’s essay (both attached with order) 4) Analyze a minimum of 2 scenes from the film (you can do more if you like) as they relate to
psychoanalytic theory and/or how they exemplify the gendered operations of spectatorship as discussed in Laura Mulvey’s essay.
