Victoria Parade is a Melbourne-based manufacturer of leather goods (such as leather boots, leather bags, belts etc). Established in 1930, it has built a strong brand name in the Australian market due to the high quality of the goods produced. The company’s products are priced between $100 to $800 (amount in Australian dollars). The management of Victoria Parade is keen to exploit opportunities for sales in the Middle East. However, they would like to increase their profit margins by reducing the cost of manufacturing. The company has therefore decided to offshore manufacturing, and has identified Pakistan as potential country where the goods could be manufactured, and exported to the market in the Middle East and back to Australia.
You are required to write a report identifying the advantages and disadvantages of operating in that country. In preparing your report, you are required to link your arguments, and to use relevant data to support your suggestion as to why the Parkistan would be appropriate (or inappropriate) for the overseas expansion.

Please note: This is a hypothetical case and not a real company. The purpose of this assessment is to analyse the potential of the country as a host-market for manufacturing (macro-level analysis), PESTEL analysis might be useful to analyse the country. However, industry level information will also be required in the report.
