Descriptive Statistics (Tabular and Graphical Presentations), Descriptive Statistics (Numerical Measures), Measures of Associations between Two Variables, Continuous Probability Distributions, Random Sampling, Interval Estimation, and Hypothesis Testing.

Individual Project
there will be one individual project during the semester. This should include the use of one of the computer software programs (MINTAB or Microsoft Excel 2013 or StatCrunch) to complete the project. Your project should include some of the topics discussed in the course: Descriptive Statistics (Tabular and Graphical Presentations), Descriptive Statistics (Numerical Measures), Measures of Associations between Two Variables, Continuous Probability Distributions, Random Sampling, Interval Estimation, and Hypothesis Testing.

The individual project report should be an 8-12 page substantive report taking a desktop publishing approach to the American Psychological Association (APA) publication guidelines with supporting evidence from a variety of sources, such as textbook, articles from periodicals, and documents gleaned from the Internet. Limit your report to maximum 12 pages (single spacing). You could select your project topic in any subject area (discussed above) you like the most. For example, you could consider developing techniques that use models constructed from past data to predict the future or to ascertain the impact of one variable on another; or a collection of tables, charts, and maps to help management monitor selected aspects of the company’s performance; or techniques that take input data and yield a best course of action. The purpose of the report is to give you an opportunity to demonstrate not only you understand the material you are reading, but also that you can apply the concept to solve a real world problem. The report will account for 10 percent of your total grade.
