Concept:
The thesis proposes an examination of Le Corbusier’s Modulor system based on mathematics and the human measurement. Among the possible subjects to discuss include a brief background on the life of Le Corbusier, his discovery of the Modulor system including his use of the golden ratio and the fibonacci spiral, and his works emphasizing the application of the principles of proportion and his architectural ideas. Excluded from this thesis is Le Corbusier’s concepts of a modern city. This thesis will conclude designing and building a model using Le Corbusier’s ideas.
The aim is to understand the connections between mathematics, art, and architecture, topics which are very interesting. Mathematics is not just about formulas and logic but about patterns, symmetry, and shape. These are also the basic concepts of art. At the conclusion, showcase creativity while building a model structure applying the Modulor in its design.

Chapter one starts with the brief story of Le Corbusier’s life.
