Instructions: Answers to the following questions should be uploaded to the appropriate ‘dropbox’ folder. There is no page limit but answer all the questions in
sufficient detail. Use double� spaced text of size 12 Times� Roman font. References should be included in the end and can be in any of the three formats – �APA, MLA or
Chicago, as long as the formatting is consistent. Answer the questions in the order given and clearly mark your answers.

1. Which geographical region does the country belong to?
2. How global is the country according to the KOF globalization index (include overall rank and rank in economic, social and political globalization)?
3. What are the positive and negative effects of globalization for this country?
4. What is the currency of the country and how has its exchange rate against US dollar changed in the last one year? Was it ever devalued or revalued and if yes, why?
5. What is the PPP exchange rate of the country�s currency against US dollar? Can you say if the currency of the country is overvalued or undervalued against US dollar?
6. What is the rate of inflation or nominal interest rate in that country? Based on that, what is your prediction of the direction in which the country�s currency will
move compared to US dollar?
7. What kind of exchange rate system the country has?
8. Has IMF or World Bank been involved in any way with the country (e.g. loans, projects)? If yes, describe the nature of the involvement.
9. What are the Hofstede culture scores for the country, if any? What is the primary language and religion? What are the distinguishing cultural characteristics of the
people in the country? Based on these, can you offer any tips for doing business there?
10. What are the political and legal systems in the country? What kind of political risks may arise there?
11. What is the economic system in the country? What is the country�s GDP, GDP per capita, human development index and changes in these statistics over time (at least
three years)?
