Conflict Resolution and Negotiation

Review the Conclusion section of the textbook starting on p 391. Within the Self-Reflection for Goal Setting section, the textbook asks a

series of questions to include:

o Did you have a difficult conversation with an employee, customer, or regulator?

o How did that go?

o Did you use active listening skills, frame your comments constructively, remain open to feedback, and engage in interest-based

negotiation to reach a solution that will work well for all parties?

o Which parts of your performance went well and which would you like to continue to work on in order to achieve even better results next

time?

· Within your paper, you will write a brief case study. Explain your answer to the first question to outline the case. Provide enough

information for the reader to understand the situation.

· Now, answer the last three questions. Identify and outline all of the elements presented within the questions. Explain what you did well

and why. Present possible solutions to overcoming your weaknesses. Explain how the solutions could solve the problems.
