Community organizing can have a profound effect on the community in disease prevention as well as facilitate an increase in health and well-being. Through collaboration, individuals are empowered to make a change, however many individuals are not experts in collaboration. Reflect on the video in which Dr. Chávez gave a description of community-based participatory research. Consider how this type of research can be effective in the design and outcomes of community organizing.
