Book review on the book: The Fire- Bombing of Germany, 1940-1945 by Jorg Friedrich

This module is called, ‘The Whirlwind: Britain and Strategic Bombing, 1914-1919’ and the assignment is a book review of the book I listed above. I am a UK student the writing and sentence structures need to be clear and concise. I will also upload a model of a good book review on the same book. The word count needs to be 1,500 words just writing about the book and of course a bibliography at the end.. This is the advice from my professor: Reviews will be an unfamiliar format for some students. Briefly, a good review should describe and analyse the basic thesis of the book under discussion, compare it with other texts (either another under review, or others which you have read on this or other topics), and criticise their main strengths and weaknesses in terms of content, style, argument and source material. It is really important that you think about how the author has located and used source materials, what their intentions in writing were, and where the book should be seen to sit in the developing history of the subject. please follow this advice. Also when comparing the book briefly to another book it would be best if it was compared to ‘The bombing war Europe 1939-1945 by JR OVERY’ or ‘How the war was won: Air- sea power and allied victory in World war II’ if this is not possible another book you have read which relates to the topic would be fine but as I said at some point in the essay you have to compare. This cannot be a general basic overview, there needs to be analysis but as I said please follow the advice I have posted by my professor. Also when you have typed 500 words can you please upload what you have done so far so I can check on it.
