Develop an essay that addresses the following questions:  How do we or could we within a Black feminist context counter social pressures to excuse or defend sexual or sexualized violence against Black women or women of other colors committed by Black men (or other men) of prominence?  Would we be more likely or less likely to defend Black women if the attacker was White (or another race) and/or poor?  How does invisibility of Black women and silencing of our/their voices reinforce misogyny and oppression?
