Solving a Problem in the Logic Model
Purpose and Scope: Developing a logic model for an evaluation project related to BIKE SIGNAGE. The purpose of this paper is to explore bike signage in depth involving the logic model that is pertinent to the evaluation to increase the number of people riding bikes on the bike lanes at a LARGE size public university through BIKE SIGNAGE
Instructions:
Identify approaches to measurement of one or more key boxes in the logic model. Here are possible paper points dealing with measurement and the bike signage:
• What measurement techniques are available for counting the number of bikers on campus?
• What methods are available for estimating any financial benefits of increasing bike use or cost- effectiveness of implementing the plan?
• What methods are available for ascertaining adverse events due to bike use, such as injuries?
• What are the main determinants of bike use and how can these be measured?
• How could one evaluate whether the traffic laws for bicycles are being enforced?
(You need to find reliable studies from reliable sites to support all the points mentioned in the paper. The studies need to be showing how successful it is and how it can increase the number of people biking with the FOCUS OF BIKE SIGNAGE. The above points might not all be used for the topic of my paper which is bike signage but
PLEASE INCLUDE AS MANY OF THE ABOVE POINTS IN RED AS POSSIBLE if it can be related back to bike signage.
Need to find reliable studies to support points in the paper such as:
(I want you to find studies supporting the points I have listed below for my paper on bike signage focusing on a LARGE size public university)
1. How adding bike traffic lights specifically for bikes is good (Find good reliable STUDY to support this idea)
2. How possibly adding more bike signs directly people where the bike lanes will increase awareness of people knowing where bikes lanes are and more people will bike more (Find good reliable STUDY to support this idea)
3. How maybe TOO MANY signs is not good because it confuses people (Find good reliable STUDY to support this idea)
4. How having a map for bikers showing them where bikes lanes are will increase awareness and increase the number of people riding bikes (Find good reliable STUDY to support this idea)
5. How possibly have bike sign on busy street or something letting people know if they keep going straight in this specific bike lane or turn a certain direction will LEAD THEM TO SPECIFIC STREETS (Find good reliable STUDY to support this idea)
Format: Papers should have two statements at the end of the introductory paragraph(s). (A paper of the length will generally have one or two introductory paragraphs).
The introductory section should end with a thesis statement of the main points of the paper. This is followed by an organizational statement. Remember to write with topic sentences—the first sentence of each paragraph) that provide the main idea or topic for that paragraph.
The flow of ideas across the topic sentences should be coherent and organized.
References: The paper should cite 3-15 references as appropriate for the subject matter. Place references at the end of the paper. If you reproduce or adapt any figures or tables in the paper, place them after the references and be sure to credit the source below the figure/table and cited the reference.
Tables and figures are optional–NOT required.
Length: 5 page double spaced not including references or any figures/tables. That is, the text of the paper should end somewhere on the 5th page. However, I WILL NOT deduct points for a 6 page paper, but DO NOT write more than 6 PAGES!
