You are required to write an essay discussing class, gender, and race issues during the American Revolution as discussed in the Berkin book. This paper is worth 100 pts. It must be at least five pages typed, one inch margins and 10 or 12 size font. You do not need a title page.

This is not a book review or report. You will write an essay on the following statement and questions.

Based on your reading of Berkin’s Revolutionary Mothers, discuss the experiences of women during the American Revolution. What roles did they play? How did they help the colonists or the British? What impact did class and race have on their lives during the war? What dangers did they face?
