            One question that I have solved is the question of “Are Humans Evil Or Good”.  The reason why I wanted to answer this question is because it is an interesting topic. Throughout the ages, many people have been trying to find an answer to is question. An example of two people who tried to find the answer to this question, are Locke and Hobbes. Locke believes that humans are good and were able to improve themselves if they are willing. Hobbes believed that humans are evil and willing to do whatever they need to improve their lives.

My answer to the question is that humans are neither. I believe that humans are naive because there is no possible way that we can know everything about the world and how our action could affect our lives and others. My answer to the question is not a universal answer because many people have different interpretations about the definition of good and evil. Also, many people have different thought on how a person should be judged. Some may say that it’s a person’s past that define their future, while other may say it is their personality.

There are steps a person could take to find the answer to this question.  The first step is to observe their surrounding and the culture of their environment. The next step is comparing their culture beliefs to beliefs of another culture. They should also question the intention behind a person’s action and reason behind certain actions.

This question is important to me, because of the horrifying and life changing events that has been happening around the world. Events such as the 2016 Nice Attack in France, The Orlando nightclub shooting, the Sandy Hook Elementary attack; to name a few makes one wonder what are the thoughts of these individuals who perform these attacks. By looking at these event, you have to ask yourself, “are human really evil” or “are they doing this for fun” By asking these questions and following the steps listed above, I might be able to find a reason for all of these events. My answer also helps me because I’m able to know that not everyone is out to hurt people, and if they do, it may be for a reason.
