Photo Journal 7: Alcohol and Other Drugs
Hi all! Just to clear up a few things on your photo journal. Yes if you use information off of the web, books, articles, etc, for information on your country of choice you have to site it. I am not too picky on the style you use to site as long as it is clear and you are giving credit to the source.
Length needs to cover the material. If you are addressing all topics in the first block of the journal description and giving detail for both the area you live and your country of choosing, most students end up with around a page for that part. The 3rd block where it tells you to give an organization or activity that can help or improve what you are writing about usually ends up being around half a page. Then of course your photos will be added to that.
For your writing copy and paste it into the journal entry space. Picture however ive noticed will not attach under your journal. So while I am waiting to hear if there is a way to give you all that option, if anyone finishes their journal before then or until future notice, email me your photos in a word document.

Crime and violence is a part of every culture as a result there are always different ideas of how to reduce or stop it. In the US we use what is known as deterrence theory to combat crime. What is deterrence theory and how effective do you believe it is? Is there a different approach you believe would work better at decreasing crime?
