Paper, Order, or Assignment Requirements

Write a cause/effect essay that is between 1,000 and 1,200 words long on one of the following topics (the word count is comprised of only the words within the essays paragraphs). Your essay, which counts 15% of your entire course grade, must have the following:

A standard cause/effect structural pattern as discussed in class, whereby only one cause/effect is given for each body paragraph
An engaging introduction paragraph with a strong thesis statement
Body paragraphs that support your thesis with plenty of details and examples
A strong conclusion paragraph
Only one source

Your essay must follow MLA formattingthat is, double-spaced, with one-inch margins, in Times New Roman with a 12-point font, as well as with the appropriate last name and page numbers. Also, the total length of all quotations (both direct and indirect) should be no more than 10% of your entire paper, and appropriately-placed parenthetical citation(s) and a fully-sourced works cited page must accompany the essay. Finally, all of the sources that you quote should be credible, meaning you cannot use websites like Wikipedia, blogs, discussion board postings, etc.
